Tutorials and Supplemental Writing Instruction
Drop-In-Days: Individualized Writing Tutorials
Ryals Hall, Room 205
Drop-in Days offer individual tutorials for all students enrolled in writing instruction courses. Students receive one-on-one help with their writing assignments, from brainstorming for ideas and organization to revision strategies.
Students should bring a copy of the assignment, any pre-writing and/or drafts, and copies of the primary and/or secondary sources being used to the tutorial. Drop-in-Day tutorials are on a first-come, first-served basis, so students are encouraged to arrive early for this free service.
Alongside our cohort of experienced Writing Fellows working in the Mercer Writers’ Hub, writing preceptors in the training course will offer Drop-in-Day sessions in the Writers’ Hub’s dedicated workspace, Ryals 205.
Since these sessions are set up to work with individual preceptors’ schedules, they will be offered at different times throughout the week. This schedule will allow us to serve more students through Drop-in-Day tutorials.
